GPT's FIGuration Winner

"Moreton Bay Night Enchantment"

Last night, I was shocked to learn that this photograph, MY photograph, was the winner for the GPT Group's FIGuration competition, in celebration of their latest building innovation - One One One Eagle Street. The photograph will be displayed inside the building once it is open.

I'm quite the excited little photographer I must say!

Mud

You provide a water-slide, they prefer the mud.

I help run a local youth group in my community, and this week in order to celebrate the Summer sun, we got out the tarp, detergent and hose and sent them flying down a big hill! Half of them, however, much preferred the subsequent mud at the bottom of the hill - coating themselves in the thick paste (and anyone else they could chase down.)

Chinatown - Singapore

Chinatown lights spill into the taxi window creating neon-daylight

The sights and sounds - and smells - of Chinatown are a unique experience indeed

"The Big Day"

Weddings are always so great! So much happiness and enough love to make some sick.
This gorgeous wedding didn't make me sick however, I thoroughly enjoyed it and loved taking pictures!
So much happiness
:-)

Congratulations Daniel & Simonie

Beach Beauty

Holidaying at a beachside town on the Sunshine Coast, Miss L. was all-too-happy to clamber around the picturesque rocks with me as the sun went down for some photographic fun.

I am really fond of this last shot. Miss L.'s surprise at the wave crashing against the rocks behind her is just great!

Dalby Unleashed

JC Epidemic recently travelled out to Dalby to do a show for the town's youth festival.
So, I tagged along!
The show was a success - no injuries, praise God - and I got to have some fun taking photos.

"The Ark"
This is the beloved 'house-bus' - as it has been nicknamed - that has joined the JC Epidemic team, along with the Parry family. This double-decker bus is the now the Parry's family home, and home to the JC Epidemic crew while on tour.

Two members of the JC Epidemic crew chilling outside the 'house-bus' before the show in Dalby.

A wider view of the set-up. The FMX jump and landing-ramp on the left and the 'house-bus' on the right.

The FMX boys' bikes, set-up in front of the truck (which doubles as the landing-ramp) pre-show.

More team members chatting before the show.

Saturday Sunrise

Waking up early isn't always the easiest task for me, but it's always worth it, especially when you're greeted with a fantastic sunrise like this one. This is looking east out toward the Gold Coast from Tamborine Mountain.

Cartoon Colourful - The Could-Have-Been

I was venturing down in Sydney the weekend before last with some friends, and for a number of different reasons I didn't take my DSLR down with me. It was as this scene unfolded in front of me that I gave myself a royal kicking (so to speak), because I just wish I had it on me at this moment. The colours! Oh the colours!
We were walking toward Luna Park on this somewhat drizzly afternoon when this lady - clearly on a mission to get to Luna Park - overtook us. It hit me smack in the face: her incredibly colourful outfit strolling into Luna Park's matching colour scheme - "WHY, why didn't I bring my camera!" So I quickly fished around in the mayhem that is my handbag to find my little point-and-shoot that waits around for moments such as these. I snapped the scene awkwardly with my hands full of clutter in a desperate bid to save some of the photo-that-could-have-been. And so with this one dodgy little point-and-shoot shot, I present to you (and hope that you might see) the potential in this scene!

Three's a Band

These three talented folk spontaneously got together and played some live music at a local Sunday Night
hang-out (Sunday Night Live). The spot-lighting was great, so I took a few shots, I like the outcome.
